23 May 2010Idol 2010 - The Final Three Casey James – ‘OK, It’s Alright With Me’ by Eric HutchinsonThe song was alright with me too. It’s down to the Top 3, and he decides to choose such a safe, unknown song? He should’ve brought it, knowing he’s the most possible casualty amongst the three. Crystal Bowersox – ‘Come To My Window’ by Melissa Etheridge The arrangement of the song seemed a little weird, but her vocals still managed to shine through. Throughout the season, she hasn’t compromised her style of music, and that’s what impressed the judges. Lee Dewyze – ‘Simple Man’ by Lynyrd Skynyrd That was a brilliant song choice. He sounded bigger than usual self, and I could feel that he is here to win the competition. Round One goes to Lee. Casey James – ‘Daughters’ by John Mayer I found it slightly pitchy, but the song fitted him like a glove. Crystal Bowersox – ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’ by Paul McCartney She executed the performance with fantastic vocals, a voice I haven’t heard coming out from her over the past few weeks. Lee Dewyze – ‘Hallelujah’ by Leonard Cohen First things first, why in the world does Lee have an entourage of backup singers in this performance? Nevertheless, that was a stunning performance, and the judges are all rallying behind him. Eliminated: Casey James |
