Lehperd Preents

RazorTV interviews the winner of Miss Singapore World, and this 3 minutes would be so worth your time. Her diction is absolutely hideous.

'Hi I'm Ris Low. Currently I'm majoring in my...(thinks) Diploma in Health Science, and, Hospitnehnehty and Tourweesm. Right now I'm studying still.'

Interviewer: How do you define your style?
Ris: Well, I define my style as my own personehnehty. I go by my mood. Yes.

Interviewer: So, when you're feeling naught, what do you wear?
Ris: If I'm feeling naughty, then I'll wear something RAD, and LOUD, something...you know, BOOMXX. Something that shouts ME!

Interviewer: What's the most daring thing you've worn then?
Ris: The rehreh thing I've worn..is a pis of bikini and just jeans and strut down orchard road.

Interviewer: So Ris, you're the daring fashionista in this pagaent. Is that your strategy to win?
Ris: Mmhmm! I guess that's my strageegee.

Interviewer: I find that a lot of the fashion (in South Africa) in this season are Safari, animal prints, very African-inspired, I mean what do you think about this, are you a big fan of African and South-African influences?
Ris: Yes! I'm a huge fan of South African inf...I love Safari, I love lehperd preents, you know, zip-bra, (high pitch voice) those sort of things. Yeah, because..(interrupted)

Over the past week...

These are my current favourites for Project Runway 6. From left: Chris (won the 1st challenge), Logan, and Shirin (who won this week's challenge).
This week's challenge required the designers to create a pregnancy look for a supermodel by the name of Rebecca Romijn (Oh my, why haven't I heard of this supermodel's name before?). Hence, the designs you see below are from the left, the winning design, the losing design (the designer had the concept of a chicken and an egg; the way he describes it is friggin hilarious), and the design which I thought deserve the boot. I mean, you can't even see those shorts and she looks like a freaking hot mess.

---

Today's Xin Guang episode was highly exciting. More than half of the PK contestants were from Singapore. And this was the breakdown of the scores and results of their performance:

  • Tay Kewei – 16 [LOST HER PK] - She looked really pretty, but too bad this back-up singer for David Tao, A-Mei, didn't stand out. Oh well. First, the tragic blow in Project Superstar. Now this. She has little luck with television programmes.
  • Ng Zhiyang – 19 [LOST HIS PK] - I have to agree his singing style changed this time round. But it was still verging on boredom. When you have Liu Ming Xiang as your opponent, the difference is highly obvious.
  • Wang Shunda (a.k.a Mr Tuo Duo) – 15 [ DREW HIS PK] - OMG, that performance was a TOTAL STINKER.
  • Olivia Ong (a.k.a The Little Nyonya singer) – 20 [WON HER PK] - A very polished delivery of Cascada's....I mean...Bryan Adam's 'Heaven'. She's too pure already la, not exciting to watch at all. Doesn't help that she's going to sing 'Ain't No Sunshine next week' with the same technique.
  • Cai Aijia – 22 [WON HER PK] - This time round, the 15-year-old pulls off a slow song by Landy, and it paid off. Again.
The one you'd HAVE to watch is the angmoh contestant Anthony. He is just absolutely fantastic. Out of his 3 PK rounds, he scored full marks twice, and 24 for his first performance. Delivered a stirring perfomance of Damien Rice's 'The Blower's Daughter'. I always love it when people do justice to this song. It's just phenomenal.

Visit this youtube account to have to this week's episode:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZ-XIr5vcFU&feature=channel
The 90-minute show is divided into 10 parts.

If the guy in there looks familiar, then you got it right. It's Aaron Carter. He'll be participating in the new cycle of Dancing with the Stars. Other contestants include Kelly Osbourne and Macy Gray (WHAT?!?!?!) Not watching this show though, SYTYCD is better IMO.

The days where I’ll spend my time with A03A are numbered, and I’m feeling particularly sad about it. I mean, this HAS been my social circle for the past few weeks. Nevertheless, amidst the mounting pressure of prelims and everything, many of you in class (qualifier o.O) are still great to have around! Let’s keep it going and achieve whatever goals we set out for ourselves!

PEACE AND LOVE!

[In other news, I'M EFFING DONE WITH H3. I LOVE MYSELF.]

This is the best way to annoy people.

24 August 2009

For my 1000th post...

I shall list some of my negative traits as described by the PSC personality test. It gets worse as we go along. The list of positive traits are too long, so I shall entertain everyone instead.
  • 'You are quick to confront issues and people. At times your annoyance and irritation may be quite visible... In most instances, you would rather compete than cooperate.'
  • 'You procrastinate and become disracted about as much as the average person.'
  • 'You often feel socially inept.'
  • 'You frequently believe you are superior to others'. So freaking true.
  • 'You are often self-centered and proud to the point where many may see you as a show-off'.'
  • 'You are likely to be seen by most people as cynical and skeptical' *waves to HouseD*
  • 'You are very guarded, shrewd, and indirect in your communications and interpersonal relationships.'
  • 'You are often self-absorbed and can be quite immodest in telling others of your abilities and accomplishments.'
  • 'Because of a proneness to be too quick to sing your own praises, you risk being seen as conceited, arrogant, and too self-accepting.'
  • 'Your tendency to doubt the integrity of those around you may foster a climate of negativism.' THIS IS THE TRUEST STATEMENT BY A MILE.
  • 'Tending to be headstrong and unyielding, you will often be seen as stubborn, impatient, and demanding. Many will be put off by your aggressive and demanding nature and, as a consequence, you may fail to gain more cooperation.'
  • QUOTE OF THE YEAR: "You might benefit from being more cognizant that by winning as many battles as you do, you may be losing the war." Bring it on, bitches.
  • 'Your tendency towards guile and guardedness will cause some to mistrust you and question your motives or intentions; many will see you as coldly calculating andmanipulative.'
  • 2ND BEST QUOTE OF THE YEAR: "You are probably well-suited for environments of a highly political nature.'
Seriously, just because I strongly agreed with the statement that I am superior to others and that I don't feel a tinge of inferiority in relation to other people doesn't make me Hitler. In fact, they should view it as a person brimming of confidence and self-esteem. Hence, I declare this test a major failure.

What a millennial post.

Project Runway All-Star Challenge

Project Runway decided to jump on the bandwagon when they got their 8 of their alumni members to return for an All-Star Challenge. In the 2-hour episode, the 8 designers had to come up with 4 pieces of clothing within a week. Amongst those 4, one was to be a red carpet dress, in which the winner of the competition would have the honour of Nicole Kidman donning that particular outfit at her movie premiere '9'. Another was a restaurant dress, where the designers had to rip off all the materials they could find in the dining room (You should watch that particular scene, it's violent)

The 8 designers selected for the All-Star are from clockwise left: Sweet P Vaughn (Season 4), Santino Rice (Season 2), Korto Momolu (Season 5), Chris March (Season 4), Uli Herzner (Season 3), Jeffrey Sebelia (Season 3 Winner), Daniel Vosovic (Season 2), and Mychael Knight (Season 3)

1st Runner-Up went to Korto, who was extremely annoyed because she came in second twice, missing out on the grand prize of $100,000 once again. Oh well. Better luck next time girl. I gotta say though, her collection was impeccable.

The winner of Project Runway All-Star Challenge went to DANIEL VOSOVIC, who was my PERSONAL FAVOURITE IN SEASON 2 (ok Chloe Dao came behind a close second)!!

Lovely, sophisicated outfits. Loved the black one, you should see the texture, it's oh my god amazing. That'll be the one Nicole Kidman's gonna wear.

Aijia performs at Xin Guang again, and this time round, the 15-year-old gets full marks for her rendition of Wo Gai De Dao, a cover of Stacie Orrico's 'Stuck'.

Project Runway 6 makes its debut on LifeTime, NOT Bravo. In the debut episode, designers had to create a red carpet look showing innovation and their point of view. Below are the winning and losing designs and its designers (Christopher and Ari) respectively. Lindsay Lohan was the guest judge, and Nicole Kidman will be the guest judge next week.

Formatting still looks terrible. Really hope my laptop can self-rectify it soon.

Peace out,

Jeanine Mason wins SYTYCD.

Winner: Jeanine Mason
Runner-up: Brandon Bryant
Brandon outshone Evan; Jeanine outshone Kayla.
Brandon and Kayla held their weight. Evan obviously paled in comparison during the finale, so much so that the winner shrivels in his arms.
There you have it, the losing couple and the winning couple. At the end of the day, all are winners. hurhur.

Watched Up! today.
Loved the movie for a few things:
1) The mini film before the show. Extremely adorable dogs and cats, and such a sweet storyline.
2) The opening sequence, telling the story of the old couple. Made me tear by the end of that beginning. Said so much about love, about the loss of loved ones, and about learning to let go.
3) The high-pitched dog and the small boy.
4) The graphics which are getting more and more realistic Pixar after Pixar.
