The Top 6!

LATEST: MELISSA AND ADE ELIMINATED. EVAN'S IN THE TOP 4. SHOCKSHOCK.
Kayla and Brandon – Contemporary and Disco
An extremely powerful contemporary piece choreographed by Stacey Tookey. They continued their winning streak with an infectious disco performance.
\

Jeanine and Ade – Samba and Hiphop
Samba wasn’t exactly very fierce, though they made it up with the characteristic hiphop performance. I mean… props like boxes and storylines about eviction certainly helps the viewers to remember the dancers.

Melissa and Evan – Broadway and Quickstep
Both of them are likely to be eliminated. Both performances didn’t really rave reviews. Well, it also really wasn’t their fault that they these genres.

Predicted Final Four:
Brandon (Executed a spectacular solo), Ade, Jeanine (feedback, feedback) and Kayla (You found me)
Brandon’s solo:

29 July 2009

I was there last year.
Oh man, how do I miss it.

23 July 2009

MY TWO FAVORITES THIS SEASON ARE GONE.

WHAT IN THE WORLD HOW CAN JANETTE AND JASON BE ELIMINATED? THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING IS THAT EVAN HASN'T ENTERED THE BOTTOM 2, DESPITE THAT CRAP HE PRODUCED YESTERDAY OH MY GOD. This is very freaking annoying.
My ‘new post’ function in blogger is giving me serious problems, so I cannot template my posts at all and that’s why you see ugly urls in this post.

1) Melissa and Ade – Cha-cha and Contemporary (Mesmerizing. Absolutely mesmerizing.)
1st performance:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mqrUxt8xaE
2nd performance:

2) Jason and Kayla – Broadway and Hip Hop (choreoed by Shane Sparks)
1st performance:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81Lorn5-GFA&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eyoutube%2Ecom%2Fuser%2FNatemp32&feature=player_profilepage
2nd performance:

3) Jeanine and Brandon – Waltz and Pop-Jazz (Jordin’s ‘Battlefield’. Loved the energy! Jordin should just put this routine as her music video.)
1st performance:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2U8qoJw9Wcc
2nd performance:

4) Janette and Evan – Jazz & Rumba (Kris’ ‘Heartless’)
1st performance:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biyo8Lw3bu4
2nd performance:

I’m guessing it’s goodbye to Evan and Jeanine. The judges are just overrating Kayla though IMO. The contemporary dance saved Melissa and Ade a great deal tonight.

22 July 2009

hi. could the school please do something abt this h1n1 thing. like someone from the upper rungs, please do something. announce a 3 day break or something. you don't want potential 'A-scorers' to die from the bug, yes?

18 July 2009

I've got a plan.

Everyone who's sick and tired of studying, here's what we can do.
We can pretend as though we're SMRT officers dressed in civilian clothes, go around MRT carriages and start collecting $30 fines from people are who drinking plain water or eating sweets.
WE'LL MAKE A FORTUNE!

Now, imagine what can possibly happen if no drinking is to be allowed:
  • Babies in prams would be crying nonstop like mad sirens.
  • Worse thing is, their mummies can't pacify them with milk, and has to stand the glare of annoyed passengers. Babies might die as a consequence.
  • People would be wistfully looking at their bottles.
  • People might die of dehydration should they take a ride from Joo Koon to Changi Airport.
  • People would be making counterfeits of $10 notes and keeping them handy in case they're caught drinking.
Instead of fining people who drink plain water, something should be done about people who block the doors of trains, people who engage in PDA, and people who talk freaking loudly on their phones.

First Train Home

Top 10!
Guys’ and Girls’ Group Performances

Favourite Couple Dances:
#1: Jason and Jeanine – If It Kills Me [AMAZING. Choreographed by alumni Travis Wall, whom I absolutely love too.]

#2: Brandon and Melissa
#3: Janette and Ade – Love Sex Magic

Favorite solos:
Evan, Kayla, Kupono and Janette

Well, I’m guessing Randi’s gonna receive the lowest number of votes. It’ll be a tough one for the guys, but it’s most likely going to be Kupono. Ade might come as a surprise though.

[LATEST 17 July 1800hrs: Yep, It's Randi and Kupono who says goodbye.]

14 July 2009

Today was a very bad day.

Yes Mrs Lee, Yes Ms Wong, Yes Mr Kamal, Yes Mr Sowden, Yes Mr Reeves, Yes Mr Booth, Yes Mr Purvis, Yes Mrs Perry, Yes Mrs Ng,

This is it already, no more crap.
I can't afford any more crap.
I really can't.

And to this, I say goodbye to random musings. I will only blog Reality TV updates and Sizzling This Week.

12 July 2009

The worst finale this year goes to...

Harper's Island. Coming in a close second is The Ultimatum.

Happy Birthday, FeiHui Laoshi!

Here comes the wave of UK music.

1) Little Boots – New In Town

2) The Gossip – Heavy Cross
3) Pixie Lott – Mama Do

4) Florence And The Machine – Kiss With A Fist

Another of Florence And The Machine’s song: Rabbit With A Heart (Raise It Up)
5) La Roux (Pronounced la.roo) – Bulletproof
6) Britney Spears - Radar

Other recent music video and song releases:

In other news, Aly & AJ changes their name to ‘78violet’ to spell the demise of their career.

10 July 2009

I thought Hypothesis Testing was part of Sampling so I unknowingly completed S5.

The Top 12 performs! Louis reckons Caitlin and Evan would be out, and I chose the latter because all the dancers are going to have different partners, and I simply can't imagine Evan dancing with any other girl.
The performances, from the great to the less impressive ones. [Latest: CAITLIN AND PHILLIP ARE ELIMINATED]
#1 : Janette & Brandon – Jazz – ‘Ruby Blue’ by Roisin Murphy! Fantastic choreo by Wade.
#2: Kayla & Kupono – Contemporary – ‘Gravity’ by Sara Bareilles, choreographed by Mia Michaels. The story behind it was really really powerful; still think Kupono deserves more praise.

#3: Janette & Brandon – Argentine Tango
#4: Jeanine & Philip - Jive

#5: Melissa & Ade - Waltz - 'You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman', by MJ...Blige.
#6: Caitlin & Jason – Quickstep

#7: Caitlin & Jason - Contemporary
#8: Randi & Evan – Hiphop - 'Halo' by Beyonce. They are the only couple who can make hiphop adorable.

#9: Randi & Evan
Samba
So weird watching them dance this genre. This week was a rough one for them.
#10: Kayla & Kupono
Broadway
#11: Melissa & Ade
Disco
There you go, Melissa falling on her ass at the end. I watched it on repeat quite a number of times.
#12: Jeanine & Philip
Russian Folk Dance
The problem didn’t lie with the dance, it lied with the hideous dance steps.

Got 59% for Econs, haven't got back the rest yet, though I am in eager anticipation to see the drastic Geog marks I'm going to get soon.
I have been studying in solitude at Jurong Library lately. Yes, it is dawning upon me that I really do have to buck up and start slogging my guts out if I ever want my straight As. I can see it coming, but I just need to put in that extra effort, and that would mean no more Poker, no more Pet Society, no more Typing Maniac, no more stupid Facebook applications that serve as distractions. NO MORE OF THAT LOUIS. You will only watch either selected serials or SYTYCD, and the upcoming slew of Survivor, ANTM, TAR seasons.
My family doctor passed on yesterday morning. Since young till now, I would always associate the word 'doctor' with his face. I would always remember him for his amicable personality, that he would always give me the nice sweets from that small white jar, and that he cured me of my coughs/running noses/fevers/and so many more. Thank you Dr Tan.

For now, I'm going to sleep.

06 July 2009

it's great being a youth.

...but it isn't so when you're spending your last youth day in front of the computer working on a report about food.

[AND WHY CAN'T I POST PHOTOS ANYMORE. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO BUT IT DOESN'T WORK ARGH]

Fed's got 6 Wimble-titles but my kicks ain't one.

HIT ME.

02 July 2009

She's a Genius

[LATEST: The couples which I ranked 2nd-4th were in the bottom three, like what? The two eliminated are Karla and Vitolio (indeed the Kiss of Death). Kelly Clarkson also performs 'I Do Not Hook Up', lowering the key by around 2 semitones. She isn't even dancing, and she looks fatter than ever. That's why you have Lady GaGa, who's the total reverse.]
#1: Janette and Brandon – ‘Hush Hush’ by PCD

I didn’t particularly fancy ‘Hush Hush’ until I saw Janette and Brandon perform it, and can you believe it, through cha-cha.

#2: Kayla and Kupono – ‘Eyes On Fire’ by Blue Foundation [From Twilight OST]
#3: Jeanine and Phillip – ‘Love Lockdown’ by Kanye West
#4: Karla and Vitolio – ‘Puttin’ on the Ritz’ by Rufus Wainwright =)
#5: Caitlin and Jason – ‘Creator’ by Santigold

Kayla/Kupono, Karla/Vitolio are definitely great new pairings, and I’m beginning to absolutely love the former more. Loved the Tabitha-Napoleon routine of ‘Love Lockdown’, thought Caitlin/Jason’s performance for Santigold’s debut single ‘Creator’ was absolutely brilliant. A weird song accompanied with a weird choreography by Brian Friedman. (Santigold was formerly Santogold, but some jeweller called Santo Gold threatening legal action. WTH? Ridiculous!)

#6: Melissa and Ade – Some Romeo and Juliet instrumental
#7: Randi and Evan – ‘Rich Man’s Frug’ from Sweet Charity

Didn’t particularly like the same old boring contemp by Melissa and Ade, could someone please hand them hiphop like now? I want to see Melissa do some krumping. That’s when they’ll enter the bottom 3. Randi and Evan paled in comparison to any other performance, which were all entertaining and memorable. Evan looked good though, I must say.

Here's a subject breakdown on my previous 4 tests:
  • Economics - Went pretty alright. Fumbled on one portion of the essay question. Praying for B.
  • Maths - Started from the back. Am still very bitter over the 'suitable approximation question', where I thought np>5 was the criteria. Well, that cost me 4 marks, and could jolly well cause me to get a C to D, or a D to E, or (no but that it highly unlikely and I will not choose to believe it) from an E to S.
  • Literature - If I get a high score for colonialism, I might very well put off an A. If that happens, erm, ok I'll decide what to do what it really happens.
  • Geography - I am terrible when it comes to spotting questions. First, I skipped only Climate Change evidence for Climo, I skipped only Limestone/Granite for my Litho revision, and I studied only Housing/Transport/InnerCity, supposing those would be the ones coming out instead. And I pre-supposed that I would have been given an option of one out of two essays. Being declined that option ultimably would mean a failing grade. I am going to fail Geog for the first time in his life, and he's pretty sure about it. HAHA I'll show you my answer script man. It's epic.

Meanwhile, I'll be ironically working on my Geog H3 tomorrow, and hopefully for the whole of next week if my lovely school decides to cease operations due to a lack of teaching personnel.
