happy teachers' day.

Hairspray: You can't stop the beat!!!

yeah, its a really upbeat movie. everyone dances around, sings along. its really funny when john travolta gets kissed or kisses her(his) husband, and that sends everyone scrawling in their seats. they also centered their movie around the cultural integration of the negros and the whites, and of course the lead character (nikki blonsky) is the protagonist trying to save the world by ending segregation!!! overall, the songs were very catchy and highschool, it was such a joy to watch.

haha, and when zac efron kissed nikki at the end, the audience (ESPECIALLY teenage girls) will just scream and go AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I ALSO WANT I ALSO WANT. totally hilarious. then when they flashed him at the credits, you could hear the deafening screams again.

had a chat with joel senior from buckley, and i will be considering humans scholarship for sure, since he says its pretty easy (which i still doubt so) to obtain if you're scoring well for yr language and yr humanities subjects, and score a decent GPA.
----

ok! as always, shall have a self-evaluation of the performance today!

1st song: 'Chasing Cars'
since it was the first song, my voice was still pretty much alive and kicking. managed to good off a rather good version of it. so this one i have nothing much to say coz it was good ok.

2nd song: 'Home'
i was drowned out by the guitars strumming everywhere haha. and the chords were wrong so it sounded really awkward. bridge part was madness also.

3rd song: Teacher's day song
i apologize to everyone for cracking a total of 4 times. but well, i just have to laugh it off during the performance itself, as it's after all for the teachers. prior to that, i discussed with kelvin for a suitable key for the song. the song's really nice and catchy, but the range is somewhat demanding, esp since i have a bass voice. so the musical instruments kinda drowned my voice out, and i had to strain like mad thats why i cracked like MAD. initially we didn't even want to have a third song, but we really needed to have a teachers day song, so this was composed 2 days earlier, so don't be so critical on me... >.<>

nevertheless, some teachers were really encouraging. ms cho, mr low, ms sim, dr chionh, mrs tan and even mrs d'cruz, mrs yau, and ms tang who didn't even know me came forward to just say a word of 'well done' and 'congrats'. that really made my day, and i surely hope it made theirs too.

ms cho (the bestest maths teacher and the bestest house mistress) along with wj,me,yz and wangye!

then the other singing components went screwy too. marcus had to sing acapella while the bg music was fluctuating up down up down and nabil had to sing acapella too but they just had to play the intro of the song, resulting in a really weird orientation of the performance haha.

selamat pulang

jumpa lagi, 3rd lang.
jumpa lagi, puan rosenah.
jumpa lagi, MOELC.

i can't believe 4 years of bahasa melayu have come to a close.
and i managed to pull through.

see, it isn't that difficult to trudge on for 4 years after all.
i'm so proud of myself.

words or numbers?

chinese prelims today was really sneaky.
70% of the cohort naively wrote their answers for zong he tian kong in 'WORDS'.
well, i was a victim of that too.
i was writing my answers so neatly, because the answering space given was just too tempting.
then, i read the instructions, and they required you to answer the questions by putting the NUMBERS, not WORDS.
so i converted my answers and i soon belonged to the 30% at the very last minute.

p.s who is adrian tan? and what was that word, honetly? lol, sounds like ms 'antm' jade.
-----
alright moving on to malay prelims, which equates our EOY exams, because we don't take 'O's.
it was fine.

having memorized the introduction and ending for my letter writing, i've gotten myself 5 marks for format at least. and i decided to write an essay on the 'faedah mengetahui bahasa asing' = the benefits of understanding a foreign language. i totally sucked up to my teachers HAHA, saying malay's the best language in the world and that even the government is promoting the beauty of this language and what not.
-----
NOW. time to do chem pt (which lionel kindly asked for an extension... thank you!) and also erm memorize my lyrics and also get rdy for my MSP paper 2 for tmr. that'll be the last time i'll be going MOELC. so sad. yet such a relief.

camBURST superstar.

  • keely cracked like peanut crackers for the last song.
  • pornsak zao sia at least 3 times and i bet you every RI person watching will just laugh nonstop whenever he does that.
  • zhengning danced really well and was rather surprising, what a waste she didn't get in.
  • shawn was obviously the worst today (ok, he did well for the last song though), but he fortunately has the backup of his auntie supporters and erm kid supporters.
  • benjamin should be feeling really happy right now, because he got the highest from the judges yet he is voted off by the public, whic didn't really know which guy sang better apparently.
  • maybe they should just stop lip-synching coz it doesn't really reflect well that they're the best singers in singapore yet they're not even performing 'live'. its not a fault of the contestants, i have to say.
  • and this is a rather boring male/female champion. i want zhengning and benjamin ahh.
gosh, this is what happens when we have democracy you know.
  • i think they're really tired, having to sing like 4-5 songs for like 3.5 hours. thats why keely cracked like crackers. sad.

shawn's going to win. seriously boring.

24 August 2007

busy body

woah so busy.
house carnival today was funny. it was nice to see yu zhou and wangye and the table tennis team to actually get 3rd, when their team was like totally ridiculously paler in comparison to the other houses' teams. nevertheless, they came out of the bottom 2 houses and emerged in the top three, earning them a high-quality medal (much better than the interhouse debates trophy quality) each!! congrats guys!

i had the last ss lesson today. sad.

oh, just came back from jamming for teachers day's celebration a while ago with the buckley cny band plus david ng. we'll be performing 'chasing cars' and 'home' on that day, as a surprise 'encore' piece! and i heard marcus is performing too =)
css tmr, and my shijie just asked if i wanted to go. but i'm just too darn lazy to go and tired, coz i have PTM TOMORROW as well as RS MEETING.

PTM. THE FINAL PTM WHICH I'LL BE HEADING IN RI. THE 4TH AND FINAL ONE. get done and over with it ~~ sheesh.

22 August 2007

where's my TROPHY????

had a screwed up 3rd/4th placing debate. i really thought i could have been better (though yuzhou say i was ok) and we didn't attack the stupid points and arguments that our opposition had. such a stupid thing to neglect on our part. well... we lost partly because we didn't prepare enough.
ending up in 4th place really sucks, because we've come so far, worked so hard, and ultimately we're just THATTTT short to a 3rd place, which would grant us silverware. nevertheless, this has really been an enriching experience, and the good thing is that buckley came in overall 2nd for debates, and that i was ranked 4th individual best for non-club debaters, and ranked 10th for the entire competition.

screwed up physics prac, heard that a lot of people died when they got back maths results, and now i'm just looking at my tasklist and starting to freak out.

I'M GOING TO SLEEP EARLY TODAY and move on.

21 August 2007

-------------------------------

poetry slam today was fun. withoutyouuuuuuuuuwithoutyouuuuuuuu, POP POP POP POP. ok basically philo today was weird. teacher came in and randomly picked 5 ppl and they went into the project room to discuss with him whether or not drugs should be allowed. then like 20 minutes later, he called a few more ppl into the discussion. apparently it's a graded oral assessment. and it's so ridiculous that the discussion ate into the assembly period, resulting in the whole bunch of them skipping almost the whole assembly lesson.

fact is that, he didn't even bother to tell the rest of the class what was going on. nevertheless, i just did my maths revision ws to pass time. =D

tomorrow's the crunch day. ptm briefing for all cecs after morning assembly. oral presentation during RE. debates 3rd/4th placing at 330. let's do it do it do it well!

can you handle this?

20 August 2007

bruised but not broken

congrats to daniel for being rv chairman '07-'08! a huge congrats to yuxin, benlow, kangjie, dennis, SLs, joel, ian, muliadi, yifan, matthew, guanwei and yishu for being part of the exco/comms too!

physics lesson today was stupid. for the FIRST time, i had my study materials confiscated by a teacher. the ironic thing is that, the work which i was doing was also physics-related work. what's wrong with revising 'practical electricity' when my teacher is doing 'electromagnetic induction'? i know it's my fault that i was not paying attention, but you needn't have confiscated my notes right? forget it, i won't even take back my notes, coz i've already finished compiling it on my computer, and i see no intention in apologizing if i should.

oral defense today was *faints*, especially when some people decided to take a different approach to present.

for now, i'm quite tied down with a lot of work again. and the buckley cny band will perform a few songs on teacher's day celebrations. currently deciding between 'home', 'this love' and 'chasing cars'. typical songs that people can relate to. =)

haha watching css now, the 3 malay guys damn funny lah. but they were in fact better than 1 or 2 of the contestants. so funny cannot stand it!!!

19 August 2007

rasa sayang eh!

yesterday's malay camp at moelc was fun man! was in the 'adil' group (adil = justice).
got to know a few ppl (liyana, farhana) and other msp people. played sepak raga (5th), had station games (1st) and a cultural 'kompang' performance (1st), and our group came in overall 2nd!

sneaked out of camp halfway (i told puan) to meet nabil, alaric, lionel and jaryl for RS meeting. i bet you our comm will be super super super fun to work with coz we keep cracking jokes and yet get things and ideas flowing very quickly. GO RS COMM!!!

feel that this weekend is burnt, with the camp and focus music this evening. that's why i need to finish my portfolio by 4pm today. AHHH.

somehow i felt that my oral defense could still have been better. nevertheless i think i scored around 30 (i hope) + 10% = 33/40 yayyyy.

woots chem fail! i might not even get a 2-digit mark.
well oh well, this cct really narrows my options of my subject combi in rj. and i'm serious!
right now, its geogH3,econsH2,mathsH1,projectworkH1,generalpaperH1 (whoever's taking same combi please tell me!)
the only one i'm boggled over is the choice between Lit H2 VS Theatre Studies H2.
if i opt for lit, i might as well apply for humans scholarship, but i'm just really afraid i'll screw lit up. theatre studies seem like a more viable option, but that means no scholarship options available, and since this subject is such a new thing, who knows if i may excel in it or not.

getting APR tomorrow, will see the GPA of 3.35 on my report card (and a GPA of 3.67 without freaking maths)
looking forward to the comments i'll be getting tomorrow!

had fun today with the exception of chem cct. the RI lecture talk was quite relevant to our ss topic 'active citizenry'. but somehow, i just couldnt get my eyes open throughout the entire session. (i just lack sleep you see, even the teachers were dozing off. obviously they're overworked too!)
after 3rd lang (which is the 3rd last lesson i am having at moelc), went back to school for the dramafeste celebratory party! haha, a cost-saving yet enjoyable meal, as we reunited again and just chit-chatted till 6+ before going home.
-------------------------

15 August 2007

it's not as though YOU have a very good attitude too

everyone who screwed their maths cct today raise your hands!!!
if even yuzhou can't score above 80%, then i have to proclaim that the paper is too difficult for the students haha.

watched some RE presentations today, and we better own ours man!!
we must also own our 3rd/4th placing debates, which is the motion:
"This house believes that governments should not fund their local arts scene."
We're doing opp, and i'm so for this.

watched 'live the dream' just moments ago. and the standard of the contestants are way way way way better than SI's. one woman pulled off whitney's 'i'll always love you' with very very strong vocals, and this girl group called sugarettes performed 'candyman' impressively, where they managed to play around with the vocal harmonies.

------------

*and if i may sound unresponsive sometimes, i'm sorry. but understand that i have just came back from school and i'm just feeling freaking tired. at first, i didn't intend to watch the show, but i thought, 'ahh just watch it, after all i need some time to relax'.

yes, i could've been unresponsive to what you said, but with that tone and the choice of words you chose to conveniently use on me, how do you think i felt?

you think it doesn't hurt me? you think i want to come home looking dead and tired? you think i do?

if i had the time, i'd definitely stay at home and rest, instead of going out almost everyday, watching movies every alternate day, and come back home late every day, and making everyone worried by the day. and i'm suggesting something by saying this on behalf of two people. i hope you understand, coz it's not as though i'm the only one with a lot of problems.

i'm really drained now.

tmr's chem cct, saturday's 3rdlang camp + rs meeting, sunday's focus music, and next week's debate 3rd/4th placing.

14 August 2007

you don't know what love is (you do just as you're told)

day started with ppl talking abt how marcus is out, and how the prospect of ********* winning was really thrilling. but i shall refrain from elaborating any further, as i strongly believe that the viewers are the eventual winners, coz episode after episode, we get entertained for the wrong reasons. HAHA. but i really foresee a tough battle between the two guys, hope benjamin will win though (somehow im' just getting bored with shawn).

ALRIGHT. and school reckons the cec council to be in charge of ptm again. and this time, i'm only given less than 2 weeks of notice. just for the record, i've been in charge of PTM (parent-teacher meeting) FOR FOUR TIMES IN 2 YEARS. but well, i'm not complaining, coz it's all worth it, working under new teachers-in-charge every single time.

china overseas students came to our class today. guess they were quite bored with the lessons too, and i can't believe one of them actually brought a nintendo too. *applauses*

assembly today was the highlight, with ballerinas (guys and girls) from the singapore dance theatre dancing the different techniques of ballet dancing. thank god no one sprained their ankles, and thank god khai cheong and yifei did a good job in lifting the girl up. ;)

and for now, i shall not log on to msn. i seriously need to revise through my maths if not i face the prospect of failing cct tomorrow.

13 August 2007

lol? marcus out? ridiculous.

omg. for fear that i may be flamed, and for fear of the possibility of she and me being in the same rj class next year, i have omitted the post regarding the injustice in css results.

BUT I STILL THINK IT IS REALLLLY CRAPPY. stupid*

i'm starting to worry about ray.

my mum was telling me that she heard from a colleague, whose son is also a secondary 2 student in ri, who attended a talk held in my school. during the talk, there was this parent, who talked about sending his two boys to different schools - one to ri and the other to hci - and described the contrasting effects of his two children over the years.

apparently, the one in hci always comes back home feeling really energized, alive and bubbly, whereas the other child (you-know-which-school) returns home with a black face, tired and weary as always.

so frustrating huh. and it's like eventually both schools produce the same kind of results.
well yes yes, it's the process that we learn from. inevitably, we'll learn a lot of life skills that will serve applicable to our daily lives (i.e how to do a documentary, how to philosophize things in the future and yaddayadda).

i think my parents are also beginning to get concerned over the ridiculous workload that i have everyday. but well, think i've got used to this hectic lifestyle.
--------------------------------------
and so, it's really frightening for me to bear the thought that i'll be handing over the baton to the sec 3s for RV exco 2007/2008 in TWO DAYS. it somewhat struck me that soon, i'll be relieved of all duties. soon, i'll be passing down the leadership position of cec chairman too.

and it'll soon be a brand new page in rj.
having said that, now is the time where i have to focus on my studies. I HAVE TO. (yes i'm coping well with all the subjects except maths, which is the only crappy one which i'm scoring below 70)

new day, new beginning.

11 more academic weeks before graduation.

11 August 2007

50 Cent: I'll quit if outsold by West

i found this in yahoo! music:

"Let's raise the stakes," the 31-year-old rapper told hip-hop Web site SOHH.com in an interview posted Friday. "If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I'll no longer write music. I'll write music and work with my other artists, but I won't put out anymore solo albums."

-----------
OH MY GOD. I WANT EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD TO BUY A KANYE WEST ALBUM NOW. coz if that happens, i'll NEVER EVER LISTEN TO 50 CENT's SONGS ANYMORE!
that is just so UNTHINKABLE and UNBELIEVABLE.

Week 33 (6th - 12th August 07)

you won't get no sleep tonight

i managed to stay awake for 36 hours straight.
and thats because i didn't sleep during lionel's chalet.
haha, did a whole lot of things, and spending time in chalet surely makes you feel that time flies so fast even the traffic police can't catch up with it.

and this is the moment when you think: i could've done so much within this period (like doing yr ss documentary, preparing yr oral defense and oral presentation for RE, mugging for yr CCTs, and collating yr choir attendance)

anyway, started the day off with monopoly! obviously, the richest remains the richest in the virtual reality, as lionel eventually walked away with top honours as he trounced us in the game. (actually, not really, its just that alaric landed on the dark green sector and since he had to owe lionel $1k plus, he might as well surrender)
after that, went to play risk. moral of the game: don't have any hard feelings by the end of it all. eventually, everyone wants to win. it's just how he plays it.

went cycling too. and i learnt how to cycle. learning how to cycle = pedalling with yr left foot and walking at the same time.

patient teachers sadikin and lionel
after dinner, we headed to the bowling center, where i bowled below-average scores of 97, 100, 108, 126, 107. boohoo. it was a very fun activity though for the night, as there was the battle of the divas (christina, whitney, and mariah including a geog teacher).

the highlight for the day was lionel's 5th game, as he bowled and lionel got a 184 OMG. he scored a X, X, X, X, 8 and a spare in the last 5 frames. and lionel's sister's friends just screamed and cheered, and soon after, we followed suit. HAHA.
went back to the house, played a very emotional risk for an estimated 4 hours and a little more on mahjong! i won 3 in a row ok.. haha. had fun with cluedo, and harry potter's gnome toss (where alaric and everyone just screamed when they saw the gnome being grabbed by the hand. this game is really one that keeps you awake, yes?)
oh, and i learnt a lesson: one must never watch MTV for more than an hour, because they just freaking replay the playlist. i almost went mad hearing 1973 and LoveStoned FOUR TIMES within 3 hours.
after the chalet, took the mrt and my head banged up and down and wobbled to and fro. how i wished i had a seat.
after LAN (which wasn't quite fruitful for me sadly), went for a family photoshoot! a rather exciting process it is. will update the shots another time.

08 August 2007

the pieces finally form a puzzle

i finally know why someone by the name of 'singaporean' was so pro-soccer, and flamed me because of our conflicting interests.

i finally know why someone by the name of 'anonymous' is so supportive of marcus, and once again, flamed me on my tagboard due to varying preferences.

i finally know why someone by the name of 'anonymous' was sniggering at buckley df, because he obviously was laughing so loudly during our performance.

i finally know who you are.

and i didn't even suspect you till a week ago. and i just learnt of the truth.

so all these doings were created by one insensitive soul.

what a shame.

i know it's your personality to act in this manner, but you really took it too far. i honestly hope you'll be more discerning in your comments in future. and please, do leave your name instead of 'anonymous' if you wish to tag on my tagboard in future. you don't like anonymous people tagging on your tagboard too, do you?

thanks so much.

chey! techno cat.

sigh. just heard that our hopes of being in the interhouse finals are shattered. very very very sad it had to end like that. was expecting much more.

likewise, today's national day celebrations were really really really boring. what was with all the stoppage/dead-air moments? there was hardly any focus throughout the whole celebrations. i've already watched the performances of rige and rimb several times, and the national day songs just served as a time-filler-cum-transition for the next act. worst thing was that, the supposedly 'conversation' between the boys and the guest-of-honor became a dreary affair. hope things can improve in future, with perhaps more interactive and engaging events. seriously thought this time's celebrations was dreadful.

nevertheless, went to catch The Simpsons Movie with zerome, ziyang and kuanhua. the show's really HILARIOUS. for the young ones, it's a very entertaining kids show. for the adults, its somewhat a political satire in comedic form (alright, blabberings.) as there are a lot of connotations within some of the simplest of sentences. if you haven't caught it, watch it over the national day weekends!

mouthwash

i love writing testimonials. it just makes me feel so accomplished over the past 4 years. but it's really a tedious task trying to wreck your brains and recollect everything that has happened, and subsequently try and incorporate them into the testimonial.

we won debates today by 1.0 points over morrison team 1! unfortunately, our winning margin's still not huge enough to secure a final two spot, as we lost narrowly by a 0.5 points to hullett team 2 based on winning margin. this essentially means that the finals will be an all-hullettian affair, unless two scenarios occur:
1) Moor 1 beats Hullett 1 in their final debate, resulting in a Moor 1 Hullett 1 final.
2) The committee does not want two teams from the same house to be in the finals; as firstly, no one will want to watch the final, and secondly, it sounds rather awkward to hear a morning announcement, saying that the finals will be between hullett team 1 and team 2.

give hullett the overall championship, but let either buckley or moor to participate in the final.
that'll be a utopian solution. HAHA.

Limelight by Raffles Girls' School Choir

very good very good!
i really envy them for holding a concert alone in esplanade, a feat that not many choirs in singapore can achieve. although the concert snapped up around 600 tickets, but come on, it's on a monday night when everyone should be at home mugging or resting, yet these numbers prove to be very heartening for the choristers of rgs.

overall, i thought the professionalism and techniques of the girls have definitely shot up, and this stands testament to why they were awarded Best Vocal Culture at the 16th Int'l Advent X'mas festival. the soloists were really impressive (staceyann and chaoying, esp the latter who wore an outfit which was super duper brave, and yet she still managed to deliver it with very convincing and mature vocals. bravo.) and the pitching for the entire repertoire was rather strong.

perhaps it's due to the huge atmosphere, and that could've creditted to why they sounded very soft at times. not really a problem of their dynamics, but more of the ambience and acoustics that didn't work to their advantage.

i enjoyed the 1-hour long concert thoroughly, but i thought more improvements could be made to the alumni acapella group, as the song choices were rather cliche (lion sleeps tonight, stand by me...those typical choir acapella songs) and didn't really grasp the attention of the audience. but i thought the 'darling, darling' part for 'stand by me' was really cute haha.

yeap, so good job jiajun, shuyu, chaoying, and everyone whom i know in rgs choir!

so small

dammit. my thighs are still aching after the 4.2km x-country run (which i ran 21:10. SLOW)

i can't really articulate my thoughts rather succinctly today, so i shall just post some random musings:
1) Focus music 2nd session today! haven't done my homework yet
2) flipped thru lifestyle, and saw an article about walter wong and his EP.
rafflesians these days are indeed doing well in the arts scene.
3) 'china wine' by sun ho and wyclef jean is seriously ANNOYING. she should collaborate with teriyaki boyz. thank GOD she didn't want to name the song 'singapura wine'. it've been such a disgrace.
4) interhouse photography seems fun. im taking a lot of pictures which somehow look pretty pretty nice!

rules are responsibilities.

this following blog post contains certain sensitive topics so please read at your own discretion. i am being very frank here.

Interhouse debates today made yuzhou and i particularly emotional.

why so?
because some HIGHLY irresponsible, insensitive, unthoughtful, senseless people refused to cooperate with their house mistress, with their interhouse debate i/c, with the debate organizing committee, as they failed to adhere and set aside whatever commitments they had in order to come for today's 4th and final debate this afternoon. prior to this, my team (buckley 1) already had morrison 2 to agree to the schedule that we would give them, after they failed to have a full team present during the preliminary rounds, which was around 2 weeks ago.

they HAD to come down this afternoon as a full team in order for the debate to take place, but unfortunately for some stupid personal reasons of their own, they did not turn up. the debate i/c tried frantically to contact them, but none of them answered. just the day before, they promised that they would come down. ALL SIX of them. in the end, only 3 turned up.

here, you may ask. 'why not just have a walkover? that'll settle everything.'
well, we have aplenty of reasons to tell you why we don't want a walkover.

Win with pride - We want to win this debate fair and square (i.e no walkover), and we want to prove that we won the debate by skill, and not by a fluke.

Confidence - We are confident that we have a solid case, and have a possibility of winning them by a convincing margin. This point margin is crucial, as it will determine whether we have a large winning margin that is huge enough to guarantee us a spot in the finals.

Currently, hullett 1 is secured of a spot in the top two as they have won 3 out of 3 debates with a 4.5 point margin lead. others vying are moor 1 (2/3 wins, next debate with hullett 1), hullett 2 (3/4 wins, 2.5 point margin lead), and buckley 1 (2/3 wins, 1 point margin lead). Yes, we know the odds are against us, but we believe we can pull it off as we'd prepared hours and hours for this motion.

Highly rigid rules - The organizing committee insists that, although i can't find it in the interhouse debates proposal, in the event of a walkover, the winning team will be guaranteed a win. HOWEVER, it will win by a 0 point margin.

HELLO? so what's the USE of winning? you win and you get a 0 point margin? then you might as well just lose. and here's what the confusion sets in even deeper. initially, when buckley 1 had completed our first two debates, our next two debates faced possibilities of a walkover. that meant that if we were to walkover our 3rd debate, we have to win our 4th one in order to the 3rd one to be declared a win, vice versa if we lose. we decided not to take that stupid risk and went ahead as we wanted to debate all 4 rounds.

Unfortunately for us, we had to face the prospect of a morrison 2 having a few very irresponsible team members, and we had to have our debate POSTPONED AGAIN to next tuesday. and guess what? in the event they fail to turn up again, the round will be declared a walkover, and we will just have a measly 3 wins with a 1 point win margin.

TELL ME WHAT IS THE USE OF THAT? AFTER ALL THE HARD WORK, YOU MEAN WE ONLY DESERVE FOURTH OUT OF TEN TEAMS? JUST BECAUSE OF THIS RULING AND THE FACT THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE SO UNCOMMITTED AND IRRESPONSIBLE?

It's because of this few people that disrupts the entire process; It's because of them that so many people's times are wasted. Your house mistress feels lousy, your interhouse debate i/c feels bad, we as your opponents feel disgusted and upset, the organizing committee feels that they are being put in a spot.

if ONLY you people could WAKE UP and exercise some basic responsibility and COMMIT to what you promised to do for yourself and for your HOUSE, then this wouldn't even have happened at all. CAN'T WE JUST GET THIS OVER AND DONE WITH?

Why am i feeling so upset?

It's because prior to today, yuzhou and i and marvin and jiawei spent HOURS AND HOURS burning midnight oil JUST to get the freaking case done. we worked so hard, sacrificed so much time when we could've did our revision, and yet, you as our opponents do not even credit us the BASIC RESPECT to at least turn up for the debate.

i just feel terribly annoyed and upset by the actions of these specific people. if i see these people from morrison 2 (with the exception of those that turned up today), you all will be facing the music. all the best to you guys.

this brings me back to the point on basic responsibility. some people truly don't live up to their reputation! to think some people could even ask me 'whats buckleydf'07' when they had a part to play in the very first place! i'm sorry if you feel offended, but seriously, before you even begin to bear a grudge against me, think about it: What have you done to justify the leadership position you have now? Do you feel ashamed that the contributions that YOU have made pales in comparison to your credential?

that's all i have to say. i'm just exhausted for today. a little revision of physics, and off to bed.

my HDI is 1.00. very developed.

BUCKLEYDF'07!

ahhh. spent a whole day doing RE yesterday. and spending the whole day today finishing up debates. it dawned upon me that it's only 4 weeks more before the end of term 3. and that thought scares me. that triggers the fact that my malay prelims are in 4 weeks' time, my hml prelims are in 4 weeks' time, that DMP is in 6 weeks' time, and EOYs are in 10 weeks' time.

today the number of choristers who turned up for prac today was a miserable 26, as the majority went to Esplanade to perform for Porgy and Bess. wonder how it is. haha.

and to two people, hope you all can patch things up soon. don't go on with the cold war. it does both party no good.
