31 January 2007miss swan is lame.
haha, today mrs neoh wanted to pick random scripts and share it with the class and then give critique. thank god she rejected mine after realizing my ink was too faint and couldn't be read on the visualizer. so, if you don't want your script to be seen by others, write lightly and ineligibly.
physics quiz today was good. might be the firstquiz which i can get 10/10. i'm beginning to feel prodded. HAHAHA. tomorrow maths ta on circular measure ewwww. scared fail. RE Topic: SL - ____________________ (project not allocated, even though we submitted our choices.) Teacher-Mentor: Mrs Albar. =) i foresee a great RE year ahead. choir was yay today. talked to daniel cheong abt some interesting things which i wanted to know HAHAHAHA. like hawt. anyway, sec 1s coming this saturday for welcome celebrations. so wheeee. what ice-breakers shall i come up with? 30 January 2007worst debate of the century
the winner goes to: KUO CHUAN VS XINMIN
with the exception of the 2nd and 3rd xinmin speakers, the rest had little wit, little style, poor language structures and just bad overall. i think some of the judges didn't want to flatten their morales, and perhaps i agreed almost totally with the special guest, ms tan kheng hua and her cut-throat but yet honest critique on their totally-unstellar performance. i got to declare this the worst debate i've witnessed. and its really ironic that their motion is: Our society doesn't encourage a sense of humour. i wasn't entertained nor humoured. they must've been really lucky to have competed against each other for the prelimaries dude. nygh's made a scapegoat, losing to uwc. they must be infuriated right now. *pronounced borat as borrock, bo-rret or whatever they called it* *kept hitting on globalization which was like what??* *if i were the prop, i would've challenged the opp to name other local comedies besides pck and living with lydia, coz they probably repaeted those two shows 6-7 times in their debate* damn. i kind of wasted my one hour revising my physics. these words
i like the new classroom.
whenever someone smses, there'll be these reception signal waves flying around in the sky. and somehow there'll be this loud sound *BEEPPP BEEEEPBBEEEPP BEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEPPP!!!* then the teacher will look rather surprised. but he/she doesn't bother because he/she's guilty that it may be his/her phone, which often is true. well, lessons have been relatively entertaining though. here are the top 10 quotes of the month JANUARY! 1) 'What is the world coming to???' - Mr Koh 2) 'Download the hardcopy from sembawang shipyard.' - Dr Chionh 3) 'My project was a beach survey on all the beaches in Singapore.' - Ming Quan 4) 'Karli Klekson' - Leonard pronounces Kelly Clarkson 5) 'We are custodians of Planet Earth.' - Dr Chionh 6) 'Wei Wei' - Mr Koh calls Xiao Xiao 7) 'See this dustbin? Let's call it a dustbin.' - Dr Chionh 8) 'Zoo in' - Ms Cai wants to ZOOM in. 9) Daryl: 'Correct me if i'm wrong, but...' *4J interrupts*: 'WRONG WRONG' 10) 'Excuse me. Do you mind?' - Benji in his who-knows-what accent. geez, what a uncomfortable yet sneakishly-funny assembly we had today. 4j's seated like RIGHTTT AT THE BACK. and you can't see a thing on the stage because apparently we're RATHER far away. and if you're going to tell me that this arrangement is permanent, i'm asking for a change man. somehow, everyone seems very individualistic now as i have been observing. everyone's rushing to get from one place to another in school, and we rarely have time to even socialize or interact. its one whole day of studying, studying, studying. it kinda sucks, especially when you want to have someone to talk to, but they just half-listen to you and then laugh and then walk away (like what i am guilty of doing at times). its sooooo frustrating!!!!! people get good grades at the expanse of losing their HUMANE SELFF AHHH. 29 January 2007leave the piecesdon't you think this girl is darn cute. shes like the smrt 0.9m girl mascot. today was a.... good day. why do i say so? welll, i scored 9/10 for matrices ta. i had a rehearsal emceeing total defence day commemoration. (oh yes and spread the word that i'll be emceeing total defence day on 15th feb waha) mr toh was happy with our combined today! this few weeks somewhat's been a nice breeze. haven't really met with much difficulties. i know when to open my mouth and when to shut it, and that perhaps made myself more open to others. and that's a good thing, coz i feel happier now. =D i feel as though every teacher in the world's looking for me. ms cai, dr chionh, mr yap, ms chian. i feel so important ahahahaha. 28 January 2007carls jr!
ooh i love the carls jr combo meal, which serves a mostrous huge burger and a huge drink and onion rings. had that for dinner with kelvin after jamming/practising song at potong pasir.
so irritating. at first we supposed to meet at novena one. then when i reached there, kelly and jon gan said that the novena jamming studio was relocated at CLEMENTI, the place which i left off. so ended up taking NEL to potong pasir, mr chiam's territory. jamming is fun! should jam more often. love making random sounds with the microphone and playing with the keyboard hahahaha. though the place is rather crammed. had fun with kelly, lulu, jongan and marvin. and i felt like we had a mini-2B gathering all over again. just had a haircut. now my hair's like layered layered hairstyle one. heehee. oh, and today i saw someone walking with his rj girlfriend. scandalous eh. ew...apperntice the two remaining girls are like sooo boring and bitchy. the guys at least have some standard. 27 January 2007i want to be a.......
someone save me.......
im finding myself spiralling back into my old habits again. WHY IS IT SO %^^&%^# hard to study and revise my work everyday. whWYHwywhWHY?!?! i guess the main reason is because my hard work didn't quite pay off. i scored like 60+% for all my chinese work so far. ROAR. shoot who cares. i realized something. my facial appearances change like mary j blige's every 2 days. its like really interesting. thats why i love taking random pictures of myself to see how i'm morphing. wenjian says i look like a monkey in this pic. ='( oh sectionals today was fun fun fun. played boggle with gabriel, ate calbee prawn crackers and DID SKIPPING (i did 5 double-skips in a row ok. pro not, considering i'm a first timer) ALL DURING A SECTIONAL. =) what would you like to be when you grow up? - my dad asked me this question today. i was s-t-u-m-p-e-d to the extent that paris hilton doesn't know how to spell america. honestly speaking, I HAVEN'T THOUGHT of what i want to be in the future. being a superstar/singer/entertainment artiste/actor-or-whatever-that-may-allow-be-to-be-featured-on-tv is just a secondary thing/hobby/interest. BUT I GOTTA THINK OF SOMETHING THAT WILL GUARANTEE ME A STABLE INCOME AND A GOOD LIFE. all i can think of are engineering, accountancy, law, medicine. like wow. incredibly exciting. and right now, just let me realize my superstar-wannabe dream. oh. and campus superstar auditions on 16th march, as gotten from bryan's prefect friend gregory. cool, but why does it have to be b4 syf. WHY WHY WHY?!?!?! 26 January 2007Week 5 (22th-28 Jan 2007)
1) This ain't a scene, it's an arms race - Fall Out Boy
2) A moment like this - Leona Lewis [X factor winner] 3) It's not over - Chris Daughtry [Billboard No. 1 album for the week] 4) Starlight - Muse 5) Chick Fit - All Saints 6) Listen - Beyonce 7) The Pieces don't fit anymore - James Morrison 8) Love it when you call - The Feeling 9) Ride for you - Danity Kane 10) Hood boy - Fantasia feat. Big Boi 11) Littlest things - Lily Allen 12) Say it right - Nelly Furtado 13) Thinking about you - Norah Jones 14) The Sweet Escape - Gwen Stefani feat. Akon 15) Patience - Take That 16) What goes around - Justin Timberlake 17) Just so you know - Jesse McCartney 18) Wonderful world - James Morrison 19) Wait a minute - The Pussycat Dolls feat. Timbaland 20) Nobody knows - Pink CECC Nominations were held today. lemme just realize a spoiler for possible sec 4 lvl comm members: leonard, lemuel, kuang nan, khai cheong, jon lim (basketballer) and matthew neo. =) briefed the lower sec at avt today. somehow i felt as though i was all alone doing it by myself, with ms chang that is. but i still felt confident in front of the lower sec. they were so quiet and attentive and responsive. and looking at the 80+ cecs looking at me intently, it somewhat jolted upon me that wow. i'll be leading them for the year. they'll be looking up to me for guidance and everything yaddayadda. and that responsibiliy felt rather overwhelming at that time. but somehow i still managed to pull through. the super hilarious thing was that b4 this meeting, teachers KEPT smsing me their class cec members to my handphone, and my phone was vibrating like mad 8-10 times during physics lesson. and i so wasn't concentrating. and i bet u i'm going to fail the pressure quiz COZ I HAVEN'T LEARNT MUCH for physics this year. other than h-p-g. which is total crap. had raffles trail merit cca today. as i walked thru the many many ccas, i wondered why did i not have a merit cca. some of them are really interesting, like weiqi (this chinese board game which i owned one of the club members in today), and even fencing, or other simple stuff like interact club and raffles publications. but i guess its due to third lang that i can't find much time for merit ccas. what a pity. tomorrow choir prac in school. ladidah! 25 January 2007the woes of tv
i wish to cover certain issues on the entertainment industry nowadays, esp on tv/movies.
1) don't companies know that some songs are already used on so many advertisements, and YET they still have that same song being featured on their ad? take for instance, the song 'I SEE YOUR TRUEEE COLOURS'. i intiially liked it when they played a normal version of it. and then, BRAVIA had to make this irritatting whining little girl sing as though a cockroach is hissing and distorted the version into something beyond the hearing range. AND NOW, THEY TAKE AN INNOCENT LITTLE GIRL to sing THE SAME SONG, SAME CHORUS, in a dove advertisement. like helllllo? 2) WHATS WITH channel 8 drama serials??!?! ok, i see where they're going. they have so many different themes. they have the doctor series, the lawyer series, and now the engineer series. but somehow, i see the SAME boring plot in every single thematic sequence! first, there is this girl. then, there is this guy. the girl somehow has a bad expereicen with this guy, whereas everyone else in the world sees that guy as a great chap. slowly, after spending much time together, the girl and guy clear their misunderstandings and fall for each other. then comes along another girl, who falls in love with the same guy. and the first girl gets jealous and it ends up in a bitch fight, where both parties will squabble and eventually one girl goes mad, the other will part ways with the guy because she wants a BETTER LIFE. come on,get over it. think of something new, something creative. SOMETHING OUT OF THE BOX!!! >.< color="#333399">a) a singaporean man and b) a hongkong actress who can't really speak english that proficiently. like hello....this casting has BOMBED many many, many many many MANY TIMES. 3) crazy horse closes. like barely a year, they're out of singapore. OUT. come on, crazy horse is nude art, yet many ppl say they can barely see a nipple. speaking of which, it is hardly publicized, and advertised, though we should be so proud that they have come to singapore for good to perform. well, because of the lack of publicity, ppl don't go there, moreover, its expensive and so they have no choice but to close down due to the lack of funds and profit! sad reality. 4) curse of the golden flower nominated for oscar best costume. like huh. they're against other nominees like devil wears prada. and something i find very peculiar is that: why can a foreign film be nominated for BEST COSTUME and yet not be nominated in the foreign film category? and more so, why are they nominated for a category like best costume, which should be given to the places of usa-based films? puzzled =.= 5) i saw the project superstar final prelude advertisement, and it was hideously rude towards the previous season's winner kelvin tan weilian. as they showed his face, they said (in chinese): qu nian de Superstar chen weilian hui chang. jing nian de hui chang, HUI TIAO, YOU XING! to translate it, it means: previous superstar winner kelvin tan can sing. this years finalists can SING, DANCE AND HAVE STAR QUALITY! how insulting and insensitive that is to the winner of the show when it first started. 6) i was utterly disappointed at how some of the idol contestants were treated. some had GREAT VOICES and were techinically superb, but were rejected due to L-O-O-K-S. for example: this contestant called ashanti or ashanta. she sang superbly well and even did this ultrasoud falsetto pitch which i BET not many ppl can do it. yet, the judges weren't impressed by either her looks or her dressing and so she's out. the harsh truth/reality is that, some contestants who just look pretty and can hold a note get in because of their looks and not their talent? is this what the world is coming to? just on the surface looks? there was another black spectacled plump contestant who was so bubbly and lively and fun, and she did incredibly well for her first song. the judges were probably shocked by the contrast of her looks and her singing that they asked her to sing another song, obviuosly trying to find fault with her. and when she really screwed up her second song, they were more than happy to say 'NO' to her entry to hollywood. whatever the results, i shall not be affected. chris daughtry just landed himself in FIRST PLACE in billboard 200, edging out dreamgirls soundtrack by 130 copies. incredible feat for a non-idol-winner-who-got-fourth-place. and my oh my, but WHERE IS TAYLOR HICKS? save me. 24 January 2007all talk, no action makes jack a shallow boy
sometimes in a school environment, people talk so incredibly much, you begin to wonder after a few months: what has HE, as a leader, done besides talking? its these kinds of people that get you really really frustrated with. yes, you might agree with them on some ideals. BUT IDEALS REMAIN AS IDEALS AND IT IS ALMOST impossible to achieve these ideals, yet those people still remain so ambitious and carry on with their sweettalking and excusemaking.
sometimes, we just need to THINK OF A CONCRETE PLAN AND MOVE AHEAD, dude. and thats why i saw the need to step forward. (just to clarify, i'm not against the person, but i'm against with his ideas. but this will be a learning experience for them,as they are underway their leadership journey...) had interhouse cny prac today, VERY VERY CONFIDENT that buckley will come in first. not only are we composing TWO ORIGINALS for lower sec and upper sec, we have a LIVE BAND. the lyrics are so meaningful and the composition is brilliant. we are unlike some other houses who take 'already-famous' songs and make it sound like their own HAHA. =D today had geog lesson, which was soooo exciting that i ended up writing transcripts of what my teacher was talking about. chem lesson was exciting too, considering i did a open-book assessment which i have confidence of getting an A+. WOW. somehow i'm beginning to lose faith in american idol. they spend soo much time focusing on losers in the audition phase, you wonder if theres really any talent left. but i believe there still is. =) 23 January 2007i love it when you call, but you never call at all
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uG85Oaca_o
http://youtube.com/watch?v=JXKPhXhsu1c go see for yourself and deduce which one's funnier. ELLO! SIR I TELL YOU NO POK AT ALL, MEE GORENG ONLY GOT PATAYA. NO POK I TELL YOU, TRY TO DISTURB ME ONE MORE TIME I TELL YOU, I CALL THE POLICE I TELL YOU! well, today had house assembly where i had to sing the house anthem. for the first time i knew the tune of it LOL. and now third lang's totally crazy. matrices somewhat easy can get 9/10, its the first time i have malay worksheets and malay homework for the 4 years in moelc. and then met ms chang for some cec stuff after 3rd lang. oh. take a look at this.http://www.baybeats.com.sg/ its this huge esplanade showcase, where local bands get to display their talent and their originals to masses of people. of the 10 selected bands out of 100s, my brother's band (king kong jane) is one of them!!! WOOOO my brother gonna be famous. next my turn!!!ME!! ME!!! 22 January 2007pieces don't fit anymore
played tennis today with lionel for pe. its like so fun!! you whack then the ball FLYYYYYYYYY all the way out of the court into the carpark.
tomorrow will be the first graded maths component: maths ta matrices ahhhh. better not fail my first ta. and speaking of which, i still love my maths assignment create-your-own-question. oh, and dr chionh approached me to emcee for total defence day celebrations! how cool is that. i get to share my eloquent voice with EVERYONE!!! speaking of VOICE, i'm in sop 2 now. how saddddd i can't do the screaming parts ANYMORE. hmph its really nice to still see so many rj1'ers who still come to ri, for no reason, and just to see people, or just FOR FUN! ok, i'm giong to release more arena spoilers. prelimary rounds: loyang beats ri (shown on tv already) mgs beats st nichs (shown on tv alerady) xin min beats kuo chuan uwc beats nanyang hwa chong beats chij katong (all the chijs lost) quarter-finals: (ri takes the wildcard spot because they were the highest losers with 49 points) RI BEATS HCI! 54-46 phew UWC BEATS MGS 80-20 OMG??!?! LOYANG BEATS XINMIN 55-45 ANOTHER OMG. but the first omg is more OMG. that means for semifinals... RI AGAINST LOYANG AGAIN (if they follow the principle of the folding tables format) UWC VERSUS HCI. i can jolly well see ri getting the $6000. 21 January 2007moments like these
compare the two renditions of 'a moment like this':
the original kelly clarkson's at the idol season 1 final; and x-factor winner leona lewis at the finals performance. for leona's version, she was vocally more controlled and better. you could hear some pitching problems though, especially at the end of most phrases. also, some parts she came in late, some early. at 1:06, she actually came in 2 beats earlier like omg. at least she tried to improvise and made it her own rendition. i love love love her last screaming sentence like WOAH. personally, i preferred leona's live performance, but for the cd rip and the radio version, i preferred kelly's. leona's one too here and there the melody isn't really that distinct. 20 January 2007stayhomesaturday
besides going to ntuc with my parents today, i stayed at home....like oh.my.god!
*applauses* anyway. i spent my time strategically today. 11am -- WAKE UP, BRUSH TEETH, EAT BREAKFAST. 12pm - 2pm: DO THE wEeShUmIn ESSAY BEFORE LUNCH[and yes she should be honored that the batch of 2007 is writing an essay about her -- IN CHINESE.] ![]() ![]() taken from: http://intelligentsingaporean.wordpress.com/wee-shu-minjust type wee shu min on any search engine. and you get like 10000000000000000 results. 2pm - 7pm: MATRICES ASSIGNMENT. and my question 3 is so uber long and confusing, even i have difficulty reading it. there are like 5 parts to the question. i started the year with a monthly planner, recording interesting things daily for the year 2007. somehow i realized that since 15 jan, i haven't really got anything recorded in the book. besides doing my work. call this a tragic life. but fret not, I'M REHEARSING MY CHOIR SCORES AND MY CAMPUS SSTAR SONGS. [leonard is rooting for me u know, so obviously i have to WORK HARDDDD! =D] [spoiler: (i dont really give a damn anyway) ri beats hci 54-46 for arena] 19 January 2007Week 4 (15th - 21st Jan 07)
1) Starlight - Muse [2 Consecutive Weeks at #1!]
2) This ain't a scene, it's an arms race - Fallout Boy [Debut!] 3) It's not over - Daughtry [Debut!] 4) Thinking about you - Norah Jones 5) Just so you know - Jesse McCartney 6) Patience - Take That 7) World - Five for Fighting 8) Say it right - Nelly Furtado 9) Chick Fit - All Saints [Debut!] 10) Listen - Beyonce [Debut!] 11) Nobody knows - Pink 12) Wait a minute - The Pussycat Dolls feat. Timbaland 13) What goes around.. - Justin Timberlake 14) Wonderful World - James Morrison 15) All good things - Nelly Furtado 16) Bones - The Killers 17) Famous last words - My Chemical Romance 18) Give it to me - Timbaland feat. Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake 19) Keep Holding on - Avril Lavigne 20) Rock Steady - All Saints Bubblin' under: Knights of Cydonia - Muse Littlest Things - Lily Allen Ride for you - Danity Kane Hood Boy - Fantasia Promise - Ciara --------------------------------------------------------- Well... FIRSTLYYY... CONGRATS TO DIYA AND DAREN!!!! yayy... have always supported them since round round 1. diya stands out for her quirky personality and raspy vocals. even though carrie scored higher than her, she won in terms of popularity and star quality [though alaric would testify against this hahahaa]. on the other hand, daren has wowed crowds with his good looks + vocals (something rare - coz if you look good, you can't sing. if you can sing, you don't look good. well, he broke the tradition). looking back at their overall progress, i also believe they are the two who deserve to be the respective champions, as they have made steady improvements and are consistently delivering good results. looking forward to a more exciting finale! though i prefer daren to win, i believe diya will eventually emerge victorious. realitybyte: According to Paul Chan, Vice-President for Branding & Promotions of MediaCorp TV, Carrie had the highest points among the girls after the judges’ scores and the number of votes were combined in the week when Averil Chan was eliminated (Semi-Final 3). Previously, Diya had been leading the pack every week. This week, Diya’s overall points from judges’ scores and public votes accounted for 62.1% while Carrie received 37.9%. Nat only lost out to Daren by a mere 5% after the judges’ points and public votes were tallied. Daren won with 52.72% over Nat’s 47.28%. [HENG AHHHH...] School today was fun! had free period for the last lesson today. initially thought of reaching home by 2pm for the FIRST TIME IN YEARS, but that thought shattered when i realized that we needed to prepare for our cny song item ahhh.. speaking of which, we practised on the piano at the main atrium, and it looked really stupid coz we're like cooped in this small confined area.
great, i have to do a chinese essay regarding wee shu min. how dumb is this. coz of her, i have to do an extra essay >.<> ok byebye. 18 January 2007this ain't a scene, its a (goddamn) arms race
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUZHOU! sry eh no time to get present, will buy yoo a nice nice present when i have time.
and now, my left eye is super duper extremely pain, and the veins above the left pupil is going to burst because they are absolutely red and i'm typing this with my eyes closed. i am NOT going to wear contacts until the next PE lesson. speaking of which, the first half of the class had tennis, while the other half went for rockclimbing. i went for tennis, and did some funny passing and lobbing, and lionel hit so far i had to keep running and gettin the ball i almost died of exhaustion. malay lessons are so exciting. coz we get to eat, drink, slack, sleep, pretend to listen to puan lol. the fun thing though is taking the mrt with fujie and ryan LOL after third lang. oh and today's cle was hmm...ok. don't really agree with all the things written in same stages though. haiz... 17 January 2007it's not over
why are we watching movies for every single movie??
1) no man's land for SS, though at least this movie had some significance to the topic we were touching on - the UN. 2) hotel rwanda for philo ((and our essay question is to choose a suitable political system to govern rwanda? like hello...not really philo-related) 3) hiroshima bombs for RE. honestly, i slept for 2 minutes, coz the interest kinda died after 1 hour. and nowadays in sec 4, there are so many leadership positions. you get to see the different ways people lead. and some of them being their first time leading a grp, tend to get overambitious. they come up with all these utopian ideas, and politically-oh-so-correct ideals. yes, they are good, but at the end of the day, all talk and no action will amount to N-O-T-H-I-N-G. and i think that seriuosly needs to be reviewed for some leaders. we have to be practical and make swift decisions at times, and not drag drag drag matters, making it seem far bigger than it should've been. but well, working with different leaders give u an ALLROUNDED experience. you just have to give in sometimes and dominate sometimes. moving on....project superstar female finals. carrie's like season one's xinhui. she's less popular than diya, who has kelly poon's popularity too. yet, she slowly improves every week and outshines diya with her bettter vocals. will be a tough results show tomorrow night, though i'm particularly disappointed with diya's performance. carrie totally stole the night. TWO MORE DAYS B4 THE WEEKEND!!! 16 January 2007Self-centrednesssomehow i feel self-centred at the moment, just like the arena motion today: "Youths are driven by self-centredness alone." why do i feel i'm behaving this way... i feel pathetic now, considering i do not hold a monitoral position this year, as i very well did since p1 till sec 3. i just feel EMPTY now. but fret not, i'll do my best as the cec chairman. dammit, do i have to keep reiterating this. and yes, i agree with st nics that i do cip for the sake of doing cip, and i do service-learning for the sake of getting a great RE grade. perhaps they way they structured their argument could be improved. i simply lurrvvvv how mgs phrased their whole arguments so smoothly, esp beulah (did i spell that right? this is a name which sounds decently nice and pleasing, unlike some other act-cool names which i cannot tahan) and what 2nd speaker of st nic puts it so directly and bluntly, yet true, is that we want personal glorification all the time. YES, i want to appear on tv, i wanna be well known, i wanna be a star. even the channel8 drama serial featuring the campus superstar has a character who desires to be a superstar one day. its true that you want all these fame for yourself, but sometimes...i dunno y do i even want it in the first place. NOW FOR GOLDEN GLOBES. 1) congrats JENNIFER HUDSON for winning best supporting actress. brings me back to the days where i was rooting for her as an american idol contestant in season 3. and now, she won an award NOT in singing, but in ACTING! eddie murphy won best supporting actor too, and they won best picture too! sadly, beyonce didn't win, but she lost to meryl strep, who definitely deserves it with her stellar performance for the devil wears prada. WOO. 2) leonardo dicaprio loses out to whoever-that-is for best actor, despite being nominated twice in that category. what a shame and how stupid can that be. all for media controversy. in spite of this, helen mirren won for best actress, so yay. borat won too HAHA. 3) desperate housewives fail to clinch any title again, with some ugly betty person winning best actress over felicity huffman and marcia cross. sad. this is indeed getting DESPERATE. 4) happy feets' theme song WINS! but i just put beyonce's 'listen' in my iPod. haha. oh, and for class today, the australian exchange student came to our class! haha for geography. candid shot: "hey, why are they changing in class?" ok no that didn't happen lol. after that after psgm went for lunch, then third lang, where we had to do presentations on 'WHY WE SHOULD CHOOSE MSP AS OUR THIRD LANG', which was uber lame, coz we had to convince ppl to take up MSP, and we had to present in MSP. like hullo, if they dun even know how to speak malay, why speak in malay to convince them to join msp? ok nvm, after tt fujie (sec 1c boy) took 156 with me, and apparently bishan man alighted same stop as him. LOL. i told him to call me if anything happens. 15 January 2007whats with all the dance shows? ok whatever. benji won, but i still lur<3 travis. their 'gyrate' dance was geeky yet cool haha. and i tot heidi deserved at least a third placing. now SUTUCD is over, and The Dance Floor is coming. oh my, another singapore remake. this one better not burst like singapore idol though.oh the new canteen is finally open. but its like eons miles away b4 i reach there. so i'm still goign to rj. coupons no use. lalala. choir today was really interseting, considering the overwhelming number of people trying out for auditions. there were about 80+ i can say? like WOW. ohohoh, and survivor fiji contestants are out. there are liek 5 asians. one south korean, one taiwanese, one malaysian and one hongkonger. all weird weird one. oh go read Life! Section Page 6 of 15 Jan. interesting article on platonic relationships. do you necessarily agree? hothohtot, i'm goign to perform for itnerhosue cny competition most likely, and most likelye singing some song as a song item from rafflesvoices. 14 January 2007le amourchenhoon's birthday party at MOX today. well i have to say i was exposed to a lot of new things today. besides yinwei's band performance and some random beatbox performance and the random smoke flooding the entire arena, i have to say there were some sizzling scandalous things alongside the dancing and thumping on the dancefloor to the music. some are so scandalous you get stunned. o.O sometimes u have to believe that those relationships are real. and you start to wonder: why do i not have a stat yet? and you begin to wonder why do people have so much time to get into a relationship now, and why should we even enter a relationship now, and are we really ready to get into a relationship now, and you get so flusterd and confused you just wish you didn't grow up, because if you didn't grow up, you will be an innocent child without any complicated thoughts and just live life simply without having to find a gf and get gossiped by everyone for doing scandalous things. but sometimes, you just need someone to confide into, and share your troubles and joy with someone. so i'm just CONFUSED. and thats why i felt rather lonely and sad during the party, though we still had a gr8 time with the ridudes. i'm still surprised with hiok eh, haha. i need to find my other half soon, i guess. but meanwhile, i guess i'll just be a good boy and study hard. of course, i shall never stop pursuing my ambition of being a singer/mediaperson or whatever u call that. nevertheless, ended the day with supper with yanhan and charlene and their friends and managed to catch up with them. and on the way home, i talked to lene for so long on the train that i overshot my train station and THERE WERE NO MORE NEXT TRAINS. so i had to painstakingly wait for the bus to come and reached home 20 minutes behind schedule HAHA. 12 January 2007Week 3 (8th - 14th Jan 2007)

i love loyang 3rd speaker. i love loyang 2nd speaker the most.
if i'm not wrong she went along these lines: "My mummy told me when i was a BABYYY.. *cradles hands* that looks DIDDN'T *cross-sways her hands* matter, its your INNER beauty *points to her heart*. kartik rebuts: "HOW CREDIBLE IS YOUR MUMMY?" ohoh, she also said: "who press what??" looking real flustered "now you have to listen to me." "huh.. whats happennig?!?!!?" lol and we actually lost 49-51. WOWWW. kartik should've gotten a clean sweep for goodness sake. oh. and campus superstar 2 is returning. i am a huge victim of mediacorp competitions. i can't get out of this chain. i seem to be joining every single one and last only till the 2nd stages. SAVE ME. first third lang after months
wow. third lang today was fruitful. got this relief teacher who definitely teaches more than what my previous teacher taught for the past 2 years. haha.
had oral presentation today for english. tot i was a tad bit too serious, but never mind. then year head had a talk, and he really is a whole lot different compared to ms sim. but i guess our discipline will definitely be better with him around. tomorrow jric, performing we are the young for the last time perhaps. and i finally have itunes on my laptop. 07 January 2007Week 2 (1st Jan - 7th Jan 2007)

--photos will be updated at a later date--
before my memory fails me, i shall post my nagarro experience now. day one due to wet weather, everyone stayed in the junior block with the psls goign to their respective classes for some re-introduction and icebreakers. i decided to go to 1E again haha and they ended up playing charades, with the clues we gave being very easy. having done with that, sec 1s headed for bag check while we prepared for raffles jam. (and everyone's spanking their tables nowadays). then.. we started banging the tables at all the floors when the sec 1s entered. my hands were red by the time it ended. headboy/deputyheadboy/mryap/mrstan gave their opening speeches and bang! 3 mad days lie ahead. my voice is now officially gone. that means = no voice test for next choir practice! =) wento bishan park for masss activities. oh and how i loved the way the handbook described the mass activities. some of the wackiest quotes include: "the activities will be CONGLOMERATED within the radius of the red circle. safety is of PARAMOUNT importance a reflection of the STEELINESS of their character SCORN or DERISION is ultimately harmful be DIPLOMATIC in dismissing the ideas the TARDINESS of their friends fall by the WAYWARD and be left contemplating on your downfall this one's the classic: A class effort ENTAILS every member of the class together to bring something to FRUITION. i felt like paris hilton when i tried COMPREHENDING those sentences. ok moving on. wenjian and i stationed ourselves at great wall of CHINAAA. game was pretty fun, except for the fact that the grass patches were uber muddy. and so, the sec 1s will try and move along the non-muddy areas, meaning they will try and run past my non-muddy area. hmph. the worst thing is that, there were FROGS hopping around on that grass pitch. and guowei tried to trap the frog with the red cone. having done with that, went for lunch. ok lunch usually included these: white rice, fried fish with that sweetsoursauce, weird vege which i dont eat, egg, chicken wing, meatball. and drinks include: superdiluted milo or fruit punch or medicinic orangejuice haha. but most of the time, we have SPLASH mineral water. indeed, ppl use it to splash around. -.- went back to school for totembuilding, where they had to decorate their survivor-like-torches.ohoh and this was when i decided to change class to 1C. 1f was like supernoisy/rowdy/crazy. 1e was like *yawn* so serious. and 1d i didn't realli know much abt the psls though they were generally friendly. so i decided to join 1c coz yuzhou is their classpsl and the ppl there are quite fun. nighttime we had armagedddddon! was stationed at designcentergym for hide-and-seek. and i hid under the piles and piles of yellowsponges where the rings station is located. and one can die of suffocation or claustrophobia there, coz i realized i buried myself like 1m deep beneath the surface. and it was super hilarious, coz when the sec 1s came, they were thumping the sponges which were directly above me. like BANG BANG BANG, but they couldn't feel my presence. sec 1: "aiyah, who can hide underneatht there? SIAO, if they hide there sure suffocate to death. another sec 1: "yeah lor *laughs* lets go somewhere else* so unadventurous. but 2 of 5 classes managed to find me nevertheless. ok after tt was completed, went to bathe, debrief like never b4, and finally back to control room to stare/wander/stone/slack aimlessly and watch ju-on. i love MR SAITO. hes this guy who plays PEEKABOO with the ju-on boy, but apparently no one can see ju-on boy, making mr saito seem like a total psychofreak. day two woke up after an unsleepable night coz we only had 4 hours to sleep, and also coz of wenjian's snores LOL. started with sec 1s dying for pt. followed by breakfast and the highlight: TRUST WALK. ohhhh that was just so sizzzzzling. oh, i mean the ice we were holding in our hands. yuzhou, jiawei, wenjian, kuanhua and i in charge of ice station just b4 swimming pool station and we had SOOO Much fun pouring ice on their shirtlessback... like i'm bringing sexyback. the fact that they were blindfolded was quite funny, coz they get shocked when we zap them with ice at their hips. a pity not all classes could pass our station due to time constraints. oh, and smuggling percy pigs are yummmy. MOVING ON!! jric briefing where apparently no one could understand what chris kwan was saying. i could catch parts here and there, but soon after i was in wonderland with alice. next was amazinggggg raceeee!! roamed around urban bishan with 1c. oh and 1c psls areee: tom, kenneth, jongan, yuzhou, shangcong, tue, daniel goh + ocbc guys (meaning wenjian and i) and rafflestrail yanliang. realli had fun entertained and get entertained by 1c ppl especially gerald LOL. readon's brother also in 1c. haha. frankly not much to say abt amazing race, oter than the fact that the soccer game was quite burst. but 1c had a soccer pro. after tt went back sch to cooldown following which choir ppl (including me tt is) taught the sec 1s batch song. and we tot them anthem on 1st day. having done so, there came FRIGHT NIGHT. played ju-on 2 to sec 1s, and some of them were so frightened that they had to be excused to not watch it. i still tot ju-on boy was cute. ok so classes left for the night walk class by class. we first stationed ourselves at looi eng san, budden it didn't realli turn out to be scary, coz of the BRIGHT LIGHTS that made the game sound more like BRIGHT NIGHT. overall, it kinda burst, espceially the senior block teacher who wanted to turn on the lights coz SHE COULDN'T LOCK THE CLASSROOM DOOR. other than the 'i-know-what-you-did-last-summer' ghost mask, the freaky woman in the photo, the viet twins, and kellys true ghost story, i have not much to comment. day three LAST DAY. pt run to bishan park. but we took BUS there coz needed to set up the ropefinding war game. war game was quite fun, just that the yellow faction keeps gettin owned by the black and green faction. the main reason why this is so is because YELLOW IS NOT A RAFFLESIAN colour. thank you. and i got my shoes super mudded its now permenantly brown. following this was raffles trail... went to RV booth and it was really impressive. i think we left a very good impression on majority of the sec 1s as well as the parents. good job sec 3ers! final highlight was the finale games and the band performance, which included the rock version of 'we are the young' haha. 1C ended up first place among all the classes for the finale games ok!! wooo. after sec 1s were dismissed, we threw paul, jonlim, michaelbin, titus and dumped will. and there it is, the end of nagarro, but the beginning of the rafflesian life. the three most popular songs during nagarro: IRREPLACABLE , WIND IT UP, FERGALICIOUS. even more meaningful than 'we are the young' hurry up, before your taxi leavesss.. i know he thinks you're fun and stuff, but does he know how to wind you up? fergalicious, i ain't promiscuous, but if you were suspicious.... 03 January 2007first day of sekolah
first day of school. a pity i couldn't be back with my class for normal lessons. but that can be made up with the activities planned by the first day comm ppl. visited my classes 1D-1F. somehow the enthusiasm and hyped-up lvl of the class was inversely proportional to that of the class PSLs. 1D and 1F have relatively hyperactive students, with very composed and serious psls looking after them. 1E's psls (oh not to mention yansheng being the spsl) are on the other hand, crazy and wacky and siaodingdong. and then, when i turned to look at the dudes...they were like. ..
-.- morning assembly was weird. the echoes of the mike were incredulous. you could hear the echoes of what the speaker was saying after 4 seconds. ok the more incredulous thing is that, the raising of house flags will be done daily, without ANY MUSIC. sooner or later, the flag hoisters will be hoisting the house flags to the top of the poles in 3 seconds. nevertheless, i still love my new school. hall and canteen betta be ready NOWWW!!! =) MOVIN ON... i shall briefly talk abt my new teachers and form teachers. my 2 fts: mrs albar and mr aguss. well well... the sad thing here is that, mr aguss teaches my class history, and i DON'T TAKE history, and he is not going to teach us CLE, meaning we essentially have only class interaction to meet up with him, and he'll eventually be the person who'll write testimonials for me. so how...i dunno. and i'll most likely not take up any cec positions. coz i'll just be filling those positions for nothing, and i'll be taking up manpower for events like ptm, considering im alerady cec councilchair. and as everyone should have known, ms sim won't be year head, coz she'll be head of character, (yes mr desmond tan is head of leadership. thus, they form character and leadership.) that leaves us with a new year head who's a teacher originally from sji, who'll be teaching us CLE AND pe. how cool and funky is our new year head! chinese and maths teacher still the same. physics ms kek. and mrs yau dropped our class for chem, and i'm so sad i'm going to cry. so,we have a new chem teacher ='( oh and i love my new geog teacher. i'm going to get an A+ whahahahah. no one can stop me. for ss, mrs neoh. oh, and lionel said she asked the class: 'was louis the louis of moot parliament or the louis of the arena?' that sounds totally like 'is that beyonce the singer or beyonce the actress?' ok i guessed i covered pretty much of the more significant subject teachers. now, i'm off to get my beauty sleep and get geared up for 3 days stoning in the central control room WOOOOOOO. and of course, whats called a camp without overnight sleeps. ahhhhh. 01 January 2007eat till you pukeirritatingly enough, after much gorging, i somehow couldn't take it anymore. then i was super bloated. then then... i tried to burp. it got stuck in my larynx i think. that was when i felt lousy. shortly after i left my seat for the toilet, i puked on the floor. yes, puke. like BLEARGH PHUI! its all liquidy eeky puke combined with bits of icecream that i just gobbled up. THANK GOD. there were not many ppl around. and coincidentlaly enough, moments earlier, a small girl broke a glass right at the spot i puked. BUT I ALMOST KILLED MYSELF coz i dirtied my 1 week old ADIDAS SHOE. DAMMIT. that means i can't wear it for first week of school and i have to wear my boring old shoes. ok enough said. i'm off to another dinner at vivocity now. LOL. just pray i don't repuke. see the mess i created? but i feel quite proud of myself, coz they had to put TWO YELLOW 'WET FLOOR' boards on the floor. hehe. makes me feel important.300th post and a brand new year / Week 1 (26th-31th Dec 06)didn't had much to do for countdown other than seeing time fly on msn and listening to top 100 and top 98 of two radio stations.
